Prior to Endodontic Treatment

Dr. Sahni will perform your endodontic treatment under local anesthesia. Patients are able to drive home and in general may return to work that day. For patients that are nervous, nitrous oxide and other anti-anxiety options are available. A driver may be required if medication beyond the local anesthesia is administered. Dr. Sahni will discuss these options with you at your consultation.

Please continue taking all regular medications unless otherwise advised by Dr. Sahni or your physician. We ask that you bring a list of all your medications to your consultation appointment for Dr. Sahni's review. He will be in close contact with your primary care physician to ensure that no drug interactions occur. If you are on Coumadin or Warafin, an INR will be required before treatment. If you have been advised by your physician or dentist to use antibiotic premedication because of a heart condition or joint replacement, please make sure to take the appropriate antibiotic, as instructed, on the day of your appointment.
